Project Purley Purley’s Local History Society

Welcome to Project Purley. We are a society of people interested in all aspects of Purley on Thames in the Royal County of Berkshire. We were founded in 1985 by the merger of groups involved in transcribing Parish Registers, archaeology in the Churchyard and natural history. We have a regular programme of monthly meetings held at the Barn with a party in December, a walk-about in May, an outing in June, a Barbecue in July with a rest in August. Elsewhere on this site is a considerable amount of information about Purley on Thames as well as activities of the Society
